Why Wristly
What you are actually paying for
You can buy almost any watch we sell from somewhere else, and sometimes for less. What you cannot buy elsewhere is the certainty about what you are getting. This page sets out exactly what that certainty consists of.

With every piece
Six things that come with the watch, whatever the watch
Authenticity guaranteed, in writing
Every invoice carries it. If a watch we sold were ever shown not to be genuine, you receive a full refund - not a discussion.
Bench-checked before listing
Timing on the timegrapher, a full inspection under the loupe, pressure testing where the watch is rated for it. The results are available to you on request.
Condition in plain words
Named marks, not adjectives. Polished cases are declared. Replaced parts are declared. Service history is shown, not implied.
A price you can interrogate
Ask how a figure was built and you are told: what the reference is making in the trade, what this example adds or takes away, and where our margin sits.
Insured, discreet delivery
Fully insured, tracked and signed for, in packaging that gives nothing away. Or collect in person and check it over first.
Aftercare that knows the watch
Sizing, regulation and pressure tests on our bench; full services through the watchmakers we use for our own stock. We already know your watch’s history because we wrote it.
Compared honestly
Where a dealer earns the difference
Marketplaces and auctions have their place - we buy at both. This is where they and we differ for the person buying.

What checked means
Twenty minutes on the bench before a minute on the site
- Case, movement and bracelet serials read and cross-checked against the reference and the year.
- Movement timed in six positions. Rate, amplitude and beat error recorded, and the trace kept.
- Dial, hands and lume examined under magnification for replacement, refinishing or relume.
- Crown, pushers and bezel action checked; crystal inspected for chips and replacement.
- Pressure tested to its rating where the watch is a diver or sports piece.
- Bracelet stretch measured, end links and clasp codes confirmed for the reference.

In practice
What that looked like for two customers
The listing said hairlines on the case sides and there were hairlines on the case sides. Nothing more, nothing less. That is the whole reason I would buy again.
Sent photographs on a Tuesday evening, had a written figure with the reasoning by Wednesday lunchtime. The money was in my account the day I dropped the watch off. No games.
Put it to the test
Pick a piece from the vault and ask us anything about it - the timegrapher trace, the serial check, the marks. Or come to Llanelli and look yourself.
