Sell your watch
A valuation you can hold us to.
Selling a watch privately means photographing it, fielding low offers, and handing something valuable to a stranger and hoping. Selling through auction means waiting for the sale date, paying the commission, and finding out the number only after it is too late to say no. Selling to us is quicker and quieter than either.

The process starts with a valuation in writing. Not a range designed to get you through the door, and not a figure that mysteriously drops once the watch is on the bench: a number, with the reasoning next to it. What the reference is making in the trade this month, what your example’s condition and set do to that figure, and where our margin sits.
If you accept, we pay by bank transfer on the day the watch is in our hands. If you decline, you keep the valuation and we part on good terms. Plenty of people use it to check a price they have been offered elsewhere, and that is fine by us.

Selling to us makes sense if
- You want the money now rather than after an auction cycle.
- You would rather deal with one person than with a marketplace inbox.
- You want to know how the figure was reached, not just what it is.
- The watch is a mid to high range piece - roughly £1,500 upwards - from a recognised maker.
- You are settling an estate, or selling a collection, and want the whole thing handled in one conversation.
How it works
4 steps, in order
Nothing moves to the next step until you have said yes to the last one.
Send the basics
Reference number, a few photographs in daylight, and whether you have the box, papers and service history. WhatsApp is the easiest route.
Written valuation
Usually the same working day. The figure comes with the reasoning: recent trade prices for the reference, what your example’s condition and set add or take away.
Inspection
Bring it to Llanelli or send it by insured courier at our cost. We confirm the watch on the bench - movement, case, authenticity - against the description.
Payment
If the watch is as described, the figure stands and the transfer is made the same day. If it is not, we explain what we found and you decide.
What you get
Why people use us for this rather than doing it alone
The number is written down
A valuation you can take elsewhere is a valuation with nothing hidden in it.
Paid on the day
Bank transfer once the watch has been checked. No waiting for a buyer, a sale date or a cheque to clear.
No pressure, no theatre
We will not chase you, and the figure does not expire the moment you leave the room.
Collections and estates
Several watches, or a single piece from an estate, handled with the same care and one written summary for the executor.
Questions
Asked about sell your watch
Do I need the box and papers to sell?
No. A watch without its set is still worth a good deal - it simply affects the figure, and we will show you by how much. What we do need is confidence in authenticity, which the inspection covers.
Will the valuation drop once you have seen the watch?
Only if the watch is not what was described - an aftermarket part, a replaced dial, damage the photographs did not show. If it is as described, the figure is the figure. We would rather lose a purchase than gain a reputation for low-balling.
How do you pay?
Bank transfer, made on the day the watch is confirmed on the bench. We do not pay in cash, and we do not ask you to wait for the watch to sell on.
Would I get more by consigning it instead?
Sometimes, particularly for rarer pieces that reward patience. We will tell you honestly which route suits your watch - and consignment is available if you would rather wait for a better figure than take the offer today.
